At Greer Law, we aren’t magicians. We’re attorneys. The best way to sum up what we do is to refer back to Tyrian Lannister’s famous line from “Game of Thrones”: “I drink, and I know things.”
Let’s leave aside the drinking part for now. But as Marlo Greer points out in her video on this topic, as an attorney, she knows things. That’s part of what makes an attorney effective: knowing things.
Think about it. If you’ve seen “Legally Blonde” (spoiler alert), you know how Elle Woods wins the case towards the end of the film. She doesn’t use magic to do that. She won the case because she had knowledge about a particular aspect of the case.
That’s what an attorney can do for you. We apply our knowledge to your particular set of facts to try to achieve a result that will help you, so that you have a winning case. We take all of the jumbled stuff that we have gathered in our heads over the years and make sure that you are able to take advantage of that knowledge in a way that benefits you.
It’s not magic. It’s experience and discipline.
Where Greer Law Can Help
Broadly speaking, Greer Law is a Personal Injury law firm, and we know a lot of things about this area of the law. We help people who have been injured because of the negligence or intentional acts of others recover compensation for those injuries.
There are many different kinds of Personal Injury, of course. Here are some of the types we know things about and help clients with on a regular basis:
- Vehicle Crashes, including those involving cars, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles
- Medical Malpractice
- Pedestrian Accidents
- Premises Liability, including Slip and Fall cases
- Product Liability
- Sexual Assault
- Wrongful Death
The Kinds of Things We Know About
It takes more than just a strong sense of justice to pursue a personal injury case on behalf of a client. There are different laws that apply in different situations. A car crash case is played by a very different set of legal rules than a medical malpractice case.
You also have to know about things like statutes of limitations and notice requirements where the defendant is a government entity.
Courts have their own procedures that need to be followed, and most judges will have their own set of rules that apply to cases that are before them. As an attorney, those are important things to know about.
Dealing with insurance companies is a regular fact of life at Greer Law. We do so almost daily. As a result, we know things about how insurance companies think; how they defend cases; and how they negotiate claims (quick tip: never accept the first offer from an insurance company).
With all of that, the most important thing we know about is our clients. We know that each client has their own story, their own needs, and their own challenges. We try very hard to be people first and attorneys second when it comes to helping our clients. We know that for most of them, bringing a lawsuit is new and unfamiliar territory. We explain things to them so that they understand what’s happening, why it’s happening, what’s likely to happen next, and how long it all may take.
We like to think that we make a difference to our clients – a positive difference that is based more on just the things we know. If you have been injured or harmed by someone, reach out to us. Call us at 303-331-6460, or use our online contact form. Let us schedule a free case evaluation so you can tell us about your case, and we can share some of the things we know and explain how we can help.
