Kevin Van Donselaar is a multi-disciplined lawyer with global experience serving both the interests of his clients and Country. Growing up in Brush, Colorado, Kevin learned the value of hard work, determination, and the importance of personal relationships. Since graduating from the University of Colorado School of Law, Kevin’s legal career has taken him across Afghanistan, and into the boardrooms of hospitals as well as the courtrooms of Colorado. His experience and proven track record demonstrate his commitment to fiercely advocating for his clients.

Kevin focuses his practice on the plaintiff’s personal injury. He knows the difficulties faced when individuals and families are affected by the negligence of others. Kevin aggressively and compassionately ensures that the needs of his clients are met and handled professionally and personally. Kevin is a zealous advocate for his clients who relentlessly works to protect his clients’ rights and fight on their behalf. Kevin’s tenaciousness and commitment enable him to obtain favorable results for his clients.

For two years Kevin served his country in Afghanistan as a Justice Advisor for the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement sector of the U.S. State Department. During his time in Afghanistan, he worked to establish Rule of Law and received promotions to Regional Team Leader and Deputy Field Director. First hand he has seen and experienced the difficulties of reintegrating back into society for those who have spent time overseas. Kevin has committed himself to assisting veterans and is a proud contributor to the Wounded Warrior Project.

His experience in Afghanistan and as a youth sports football coach has given him unique insights, which he brings to his clients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries. Whether the injury occurred as a result of a car crash, sports injury, or physical abuse, Kevin brings his understanding of how these injuries affect every aspect of someone’s life to each case he handles. He understands the importance of return to play decisions following a head injury. As coach, father, and attorney he ensures that concussion protocol is followed and return to play decisions are made appropriately.

Kevin’s commitment to his church and his faith serves as the foundation for his impassioned representation of sexual assault victims. When a religious institution lets down its parishioners and fails to protect its community, Kevin considers this a violation of all he stands for as a man of faith. Fighting for victims of clergy abuse is not just a job, it is a cause.

In Colorado, Kevin spent eight years serving as a Deputy District Attorney for both Denver and Adams Counties. During his time as a prosecutor, he tried and negotiated hundreds of cases, ranging from drunk driving to homicides. During this time Kevin was elected as the State Legislative Representative for the Colorado Juvenile Council for over six years. He was also selected for the JAIBG Committee which focused on rehabilitating violent juvenile offenders and reuniting them with their families while becoming productive members of society. Kevin even used his experiences and education in Criminal Law and Procedure to teach legal courses in the evenings at colleges in the Denver Metro area.

Prior to working with The Greer Law Group, Kevin worked as the Director of Business Development and Contracts Attorney for Pacific Medical, a prominent sports medicine company throughout the western United States. While at Pacific Medical, Kevin negotiated and drafted numerous multi-million dollar contracts, was involved in product settlement discussions, and gained valuable insight into the inner workings of insurance companies and the healthcare industry. Kevin’s familiarity with medical device and insurance companies gives him a unique perspective in his representation of victims who have been injured by defective products or suffered injustices at the hands of insurance companies. In his position as Of Counsel, he focuses his attention on a limited number of cases, each with a personal conviction very few attorneys achieve.

Kevin is active in his church, family, and youth sports. An avid coach, Kevin donates his time to coaching high school football, as well as youth basketball.
